A personal experiment, explained openly

Only One Euro explores a simple question: could enough people voluntarily give €1 to help one person reach a €1,000,000 personal goal?

This is personal fundraising. It is not a registered charity campaign. Participation would be entirely optional, and the money would go toward the organiser’s personal goal.

No prize

No lottery, draw, or competition.

No promised return

A contribution would not be an investment or a purchase.

Testing comes first

The checkout and counter use simulated payments. Real contributions are still closed.

Testing and future contributions

Can I give a real €1 now?

No. “Test €1 with PayPal” opens PayPal Sandbox, which uses a test account and simulated funds. It does not accept real money. Account eligibility, fees, and the details of a live launch are still being checked.

How does the test counter work?

It reads saved, confirmed €1 Sandbox captures from our payment server. Clicking a button, opening PayPal, or cancelling does not increase it. The total is gross before fees. Earlier tests made before the saved counter was installed are not included, and the displayed test payments are not real fundraising.

What would I receive?

There is no product, prize, ownership stake, or financial return. Any contribution would be voluntary support for the organiser’s personal goal.

Does €1,000,000 mean money after fees?

The goal shown here is gross contributions before payment processing fees and any applicable taxes or other costs. Fees and the amount received after fees will need to be explained when payments open.

Is reaching the goal guaranteed?

No. This is an experiment, and it may never reach the goal. The treatment of contributions if the goal is not reached, together with refund terms, will be published before payments open.

How can I help while real payments are closed?

Share the site with someone who might find the idea interesting. You can also test the page on your phone and tell the organiser if anything is unclear or does not work. The payment test requires a Sandbox buyer account; a normal PayPal login is not a test account.
